The Bamboo Room (Forum) > Welcome!
Howdy! Figured I'd introduce myself to everyone in the welcome thread.
I'm living in Carlsbad, CA., I've got a wife, and 2 young boys. Certainly living the age-grouper dream of trying to find a good balance. I've done 2 triathlons at this point, a sprint and an Olympic. I've got a bunch of running events under my belt including one 26.2 this past Jan.
As of 11/09 I've been a Zentri coached athlete for a full year, since just before my full mary. With Brett's help I've made some incredible fitness gains, and it's just getting better.

Hey All,
Kevin from Wisconsin here. Been listening to Zen (Brett) for about a year now. Enjoy the Podcast, interviews and training ideas.
2009 was my first year of Triathlon, with 5 Sprints in the books. 2010 has become a little more aggresive with a Marathon in May, a 70.3 in July and another Marathon in September. 2011 will be the year of the IM, with IM Wisconsin in my future.
There has been in internal struggle on the cost of coaching versus training on my own. Think the ZenTri Masters will be a great way for me to go.
Thanks all and keep up the great podcasts Brett

If you're new, post a hello!
I'm Brett "Texafornia" and I run the site. I've been doing triathlons since 2001 and love all distances. I decided to quit trying to be the fastest by training my strengths and learn more about myself and train my weaknesses instead, which leads to even greater speed (accidentally).
I host the podcast and coach and run this site out of pure love for the sport. I'm simply drawn to it and can't explain why I do what I do. I just love it, which makes it fun and not seem like work at all.
