The Bamboo Room (Forum) > First Olympic Distance Triathlon in Two Weeks!!!

Like the title says, i have my first olympic distance tri in two weeks. Those of you who are experienced can you give me some basic tips or advice to remember on race day or for the next two weeks leading up to the race? thanks so much to anyone who helps!

Just a quick note - An oly is much longer than a sprint. Much! Slow down the pace just a little and save your energy for the run. 6 miles is a long way! Use this first one as a learning experience and then rock the rest. :)

Steve,

Coach Brett has an awesome podcast from a few weeks ago - I think it's called "How to Race" where he interviews a lad about to embark on an Olympic.

The interview is filled with pre-race and race gems that are invaluable. Give it a listen.. Great Stuff.

Good Luck at the race..
