Review - Thunderbird Energetica Bars

I was cruising through Whole Foods in Austin, and just had to pick these up.  I had heard about Thunder Energetica before, so I wanted to give them a taste and share what I found.

A lot of what these bars have going for them is that they are fun to buy and open.  Handmade?  Blessed by a shaman?  Really?  A lot of sales has to do with the experience more than the product itself, and Thunderbird is definitely an experience.

The bars themselves are great.  Simple ingredients, tasty, a variety of flavors, and super healthy.  Not only that, but the company is run by endurance athletes.

My first taste was a little, "Meh, another health bar."  But there was nothin' but wrapper left of both bars in just a couple of hours.  Definitely proof of good stuff.

Distribution may be limited right now, but check out their website for more details.

If you compost the wrappers, will they grow new bars?
