Macca Explains Why He Bailed on Race Day

I kept hearing "attitude", but I think he's saying "altitude."  What do you think?

Definitely "altitude"

he pisses me off. He's a damn good racer but when the going gets tough he quits. Look at Crowie he didn't have the race he wanted but he kept going.

He was training in Davos Switzerland this summer, which is only 1,560m (5,118ft). Of course the surrounding peaks are higher than that, but still I wonder... maybe the surprise doping control on the morning before the race day had something to do with his pulling out without a fight? Certainly the altitude couldn't have been the real reason, now that we've read The Secret Race lol!
